The Buffalo County Fairgrounds in Kearney, Nebraska offers un-paralleled facilities with the flexibility to serve your organization’s needs and make your event a success. The Buffalo County Exposition Center, Ag Pavilion, the Exhibit and the Extension Buildings are ideal for a variety of events in all sizes. You’ll find that the Buffalo County Fairgrounds offers the necessary convenience to please you, your exhibitors and guests.Each are handicapped accessible.
Built in 2010, the Buffalo County Exposition Center offers diversity to larger events. The main arena will be 300’ X 175’ (52,500 square feet) concrete arena with bleachers that can be pushed in or pulled out at your preference. It will seat 2,743 in fixed seating and additional seating can be provided in portable bleachers and chairs to accomodate over 5500 people. The East Arena is 180’ x 110’ (28,600 square feet). Portable bleachers can be placed there if needed. This building will contain concessions, meeting and office space to serve as your event. The building has heating and air conditioning, a full kitchen, large overhead doors, ticket booths and inside and outside wash bays. The sound system in this building is custom built to fulfill the needs of the many events that use the facilities.
The Buffalo County Ag Pavilion features 180’ X 260’ (46,800 square feet). The facility has heating, a sound system, kitchen and office.
The Pavilion Arena is 118' x 58' and has permanent seating for 330, air conditioning and a south system. This arena can be used for trade shows, livestock shows and banquets for up to 500 people.
The Ag Pavilion also has a Dirt Arena that is70’ x 135’ which is ideal for livestock, stalling, shows and sales.
Besides the Main Pavilion Arena and the Dirt Arena, the Ag Pavilion also offers an additional 20,700 square feet of concrete exhibit space in a 118' x 113' area that is ideal for commercial or livestock displays, stalling, and has an excellent staging room and access arena.
The Ag Pavilion has access to the Exposition Center Main Arena, East Arena and Meeting Room. There are also kitchen and office areas in the Ag Pavilion, available for your convenience.
The Buffalo County Exhibit Building is an ideal facility for events hosted for crowds up to 2,500 – with bleachers and seating available for up to 1,000. It offers 26,400 square feet of indoor/outdoor exhibit space, large overhead doors, a kitchen and concession area, ample parking, and for your exhibitor’s convenience, three meeting rooms. There is a portable stage, sound system and a public-address system. Tables and chairs are available, with assistance with set up and tear down available upon request. The Exhibit Building is a popular host for trade shows, fleas markets, receptions, dance and craft shows.
The Buffalo County Extension Building, our smallest exhibit building, is idea for smaller events. It will house crowds of up to 400, with 7600 square feet of indoor exhibit space, a large kitchen and ample parking. Your exhibitors will appreciate the convenience of the large overhead door for loading and unloading. Some additional equipment it available upon request include a portable stage and numerous banquet tables and chairs. The University of Nebraska County Extension Service handles the rental this building.
