Facility Rental Information

Whether your event is large, small, elegant, down and dirty, slow paced, or fast and furious, the Buffalo County Fairgrounds has the facilities for you! We’ve designed our buildings so that you can have almost any type of event on our grounds! The New Exposition Building, the Ag Pavilion, the Exhibit Building and the Extension Building all have different qualities that make our facilities the most diverse indoor facilities in Kearney! All our buildings have restrooms, ample parking and wireless internet available. Your Event Goes Here!

* Expo Building - NEW in 2010      ( Floor Plan Layouts for NEW Expo Building )

This New Expo Building will offer diversity to larger events. The main arena will be a 300’ x 200’ (60,000 square feet) concrete arena with bleachers that can be pushed in our pulled out at your preference. The dirt arena will be a 300’ x 110’ (33,000 square feet) arena with a dirt floor. Portable bleachers can be placed on the cement concourse if needed. This building will also contain office space and a meeting room to serve as your event headquarters. Our sound system in this building is being custom built to fulfill the needs of the many events that use our facilities. We feel that this building will give a lot of new options for your event!

The Ag Pavilion features a 120’ x 60’ indoor arena, where banquets with up to 450 guests work very well, and a 70’ x 115’ dirt floor which is ideal for livestock shows and sales. Besides the indoor arena area and the dirt floor, the Ag Pavilion also offers an additional 20,700 square feet of exhibit space that is ideal for commercial and/or livestock displays. The Ag Pavilion will have access to the New Expo Building once that building is up. There is also a kitchen area and an office area in the Ag Pavilion, available for your convenience.

The Exhibit Building is an ideal facility for events involving crowds up to 2,500 people.  The building is 120’ by 220’ with 26,000 square feet of indoor exhibit space, plus a beautiful outdoor exhibit space with access from the building through large overhead doors. The building also has a large concession area and two meetings rooms that are right next to the concession areas and can be used as dining rooms as well. The building will hold 119 - 10’x10’ booths.

Extension Building

The Extension Building is our smallest multi-purpose facility and is often used in conjunction with our other facilities.   It works well for meetings, shows and receptions.  The building contains two meeting rooms that can be combined.  The larger room is 93’ x 78’ with a permanent stage. This room is commonly used for receptions of 250 guests or less and meetings for up to 400 people. The smaller meeting room is 53’ x 30’ and is commonly used for dinners serving up to 75 guests and meetings up to 150 people.  The large and small meeting rooms can also be combined for events.  The building contains a large commercial kitchen with serving windows on two sides.   The University of Nebraska County Extension Service handles the rental this building.  For information on rental of the Extension Building please contact the Extension Service at 308-236-1235 or email rdeprez2@unl.edu.
